Dr. Michael Kelly, Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Medical Director of The Kelly Eye Center in Raleigh, is committed to providing quality eye care in a compassionate manner. As a leading eye doctor in Raleigh, NC, Dr. Kelly received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Ophthalmology at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. Dr. Kelly received his refractive eye surgery training from Dr. J. Charles Casebeer, a world-renowned refractive ophthalmologist. He was certified on the Excimer Laser in 1994 by Dr. David F. Muller, and was the first eye surgeon to perform LASIK eye surgery in the Raleigh area. Dr. Kelly is also a leader in small-incision cataract eye surgery, which offers many benefits including quick visual recovery. He is one of the most experienced eye surgeons in the Triangle area, having performed more than 50,000 eye surgery procedures. Dr. Kelly continues to pursue the latest innovations in eye surgery and is proud to offer his Raleigh patients the safest and most advanced technology available today. Due to his extensive surgical experience and excellent visual outcomes, he was chosen to be among the first ophthalmolgists in the nation trained to perform the Visian ICL eye surgery, a corrective lens to treat nearsightedness.
