Dr. Jennifer Coben is a highly skilled ophthalmologist with a specialization in cataract surgery and glaucoma care. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Coben was honored with induction into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and served as class president.

She completed her transitional year at Methodist Hospital in Houston, building a solid foundation in patient care, before undertaking her ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University, where she excelled as Co-Chief Resident. Dr. Coben further refined her surgical skills and leadership abilities during her
advanced fellowship in glaucoma surgery at Emory University, one of the nation’s premier institutions for ophthalmic care.

Dr. Coben spent five years practicing in rural Upstate New York, where she was one of the region’s few cataract surgeons and the only surgical glaucoma specialist. Her dedication to delivering compassionate, innovative care earned her the respect and trust of both patients and colleagues.

Board-certified and an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the American Glaucoma Society, Dr. Coben is particularly known for her expertise in advanced cataract surgery. Her patients appreciate her caring demeanor, sense of humor, and commitment to personalized treatment.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Coben enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, running half marathons, and exploring the outdoors. Her passion for excellence and a well-rounded lifestyle makes her an invaluable asset to her patients and community.
